Wennov Connect

Acceptable Use Policy

Last updated: August 2026. What you may and may not send through Wennov Connect.

WHY THIS POLICY EXISTS

Wennov Connect delivers messages through telecom operators and third-party providers. Abuse by a single customer can get numbers or routes blocked for every other customer and can expose us to legal liability. This policy forms part of the Terms and Conditions, and breaching it allows immediate suspension of the account.

1. RECIPIENT CONSENT

You may send commercial communications only to people who have given prior consent, as required by Romanian Law no. 506/2004 and GDPR. You must:

- keep proof of consent (time, source, exact wording) and be able to produce it on request; - not use purchased, rented, scraped, or third-party lists obtained without your own legal basis; - rely on the "soft opt-in" exception only within its legal limits: existing customers, similar products, with an opt-out in every message; - not message numbers listed in applicable do-not-contact registers.

2. OPT-OUT

Every marketing campaign must include a clear, free way to unsubscribe. For SMS we support the STOP keyword; the platform processes those replies automatically and suppresses the contact. You must not: disable opt-out mechanisms, message unsubscribed contacts, or re-upload a list to "reset" opt-outs. Opt-out requests must be honoured immediately and no later than 3 working days.

3. PROHIBITED CONTENT

You may not send messages that: are deceptive, fraudulent or phishing; impersonate a person, company or public authority; distribute malware or dangerous links; promote pyramid schemes, "guaranteed investments", fraudulent lending or deceptively marketed cryptocurrency; promote gambling, controlled substances, weapons, unlicensed pharmaceuticals or adult content without the required licences and our prior written approval; contain harassment, threats, hate speech or unlawful content; infringe intellectual property rights.

4. SENDER IDENTIFICATION

The sender (Sender ID or displayed number) must correctly identify the entity sending the message. You may not use a Sender ID belonging to another company, imitating a public institution, a bank or a delivery service, or otherwise misleading the recipient. Sender ID reservation and registration follow the rules of the operators in each country.

5. OTP AND TRANSACTIONAL TRAFFIC

Transactional messages and one-time passcodes (OTP) must be labelled as such in the platform. You may not label marketing messages as transactional in order to bypass consent requirements or quiet hours. We apply automatic caps on OTP traffic to the same number for fraud prevention.

6. QUIET HOURS AND FREQUENCY

Respect the configured quiet-hours windows and local law on the hours during which commercial communications may be sent. Avoid excessive frequency; the platform provides per-contact frequency caps and we recommend using them.

7. PLATFORM INTEGRITY

You may not: attempt unauthorised access to other customers accounts; conduct security testing without our prior written approval; circumvent rate limits, quotas or content controls; use the platform for attacks, scanning or automated data extraction; resell access without a reseller agreement.

8. ENFORCEMENT

Depending on severity we may: issue a warning; limit rates or volumes; automatically lock a channel when the prohibited-content threshold is exceeded; suspend the account; or terminate the contract. Where there is imminent risk to infrastructure, to recipients or to our operator relationships, we may act immediately and without notice. You can challenge any automated measure at office@wennov.ro and a human will review the decision.

Responsibility for the messages sent, including any fines imposed by authorities, lies with the customer who initiated them.

9. REPORTING ABUSE

If you received an abusive message sent through our platform, write to office@wennov.ro with the message text, the displayed sender and the date. We investigate every report and forward the request to the responsible customer.
